Product Description

It even calculates sunrise and sunset, displays radio controlled time and date, and automatically updates for daylight savings time. Set the built-in alarm for important appointments. Depending on the weather conditions, "Oscar" is programmed in 15 various icons to reflect the weather, from bundled up for cold, to holding an umbrella for rain, wearing a swimsuit for sun, etc. Assembly level/degree of difficulty: No Assembly Required.

I bought this as a gift and really like the idea of it. At first the temperature was pretty accurate but after 6 months the temperature is unreliable.

Works very well after set-up according to manufacturer's instruction as per enclosed booklet. There is a slight difference between the outside temperature and the actual reading of a calibrated thermometer but of no consequence. Overall it is a great buy for anyone interested in many phases of the weather.

Summary: Nice, right-sized unit to keep you updated on a variety of data points.

Details:

Pluses:
- Easy to set up. I read the directions afterwords and found out about a few more features, but had it all set up right.
- I really like all the features. The kids like the little guy w/ the different uniforms. I found him corny, but useful.
- Displays both local and satellite info.
- Countertop display stand works well.

Issues:
- Wall mount doesn't work well. It works, but there is only one point to hang it from so it can get bumped and the mounting hole is not flush w/ the back, it's recessed.
